Nervi is located in the eastern part of Genoa, overlooking a cliff along which winds a suggestive and romantic two km walk named after Anita Garibaldi. Genoa’s most elegant green lounge is right here. The Parks of Nervi, which can be accessed both from the promenade and from the city center, occupy an area of 92000 square meters between via Aurelia and the sea and are home to a hundred botanical species, including palm trees and cedars; in addition there are 5 trees of monumental interest, an important rose garden and some museums, set up inside historic villas, now owned by the municipality.
Nervi’s important and rich museum centre allows visitors, within a square kilometer, to appreciate the rich collections of modern and contemporary art of the city of Genoa: paintings, sculptures, graphics, furnishings and decorative arts.
