borough
Old port area redesigned by Renzo Piano in 1992, in the occasion of the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America, has now become a tourist center of the city where you can have an aperitif, dine, shop, watch a movie, ice skate or dive into the pool.
Arriving at the bottom of the pier where the Magazzini del Cotone are located, a step away from the Lanterna, Genoa and its Gulf, they allow themselves to be admired in all their beauty. The hills are the background to this suggestive panorama, colored during the day and illuminated in the evening.
In addition to the Aquarium, other attractions in the area are: the Bigo panoramic elevator (which takes up in shape and name the ancient manual loading cranes), the Biosphere and the City of Children, a playful and interactive museum for children between 2 and 14 years old.
The spaces of the Porto Antico have become the citadel of entertainment and leisure, for locals and tourists, the area is full of events in summer and throughout the year.
