Dolphin with a uniform gray color, it is encountered in coastal waters and rarely where the depth of the sea exceeds 200 m.

Its diet varies greatly depending on the prey it can get: fish (such as mullet, anchovies, mackerel …), squid, cuttlefish, octopus, crustaceans and other invertebrates. Due to its extraordinary adaptive capacity, it is one of the few cetaceans that can survive in the dolphinaria.
