Endemic species of the whole Mediterranean, it has an unmistakable shape and color. It has no tentacles, but many small transparent arms that branch off from the opposite side of the hat.
The latter can have a diameter of 30 cm. It is usually found in the open sea, in the seasonal period from October to May
