Species sighted: Pilot whale, Fin whale, Striped dolphin

Today, during the exciting excursion on board the motor ship Corsara, we had the privilege of making the sixth seasonal sighting of pilot whales! Every sighting of this species takes on extraordinary importance, as it provides us with the opportunity to collect data and photographs for identification. Pilot whales are considered a data deficient species according to the IUCN red list, making each encounter a step forward in understanding and conserving this fascinating species.
But the wonders didn’t stop there. During our excursion, we also had the opportunity to observe a fin whale in the midst of its hunting activity. Furthermore, a lively group of striped dolphins.
