Species spotted: Striped dolphin, Fin whale.
Finally after several days of stopping, due to the sea being too rough, today we returned to sailing in the waters of the two Canyons in front of Genoa. In fact, right on the Polcevera canyon, we spotted a breath, which later turned out to be from a Fin Whale! The specimen made fairly regular dives, between 6 and 8 minutes, and seemed to have a fairly relaxed behavior. We managed to observe this wonderful giant several times, even having the opportunity to listen to his breathing. The day was also characterized by several sightings of striped dolphins, identified in both canyons, although many specimens showed a slightly more shy behavior, probably due to the presence of some cubs.
